Images By Lee Rowell

Lee creates original oil , acrylic and watercolor paintings as well as other forms of mixed and digital media from his studio in Dallas, Texas.  Lee grew up in a small town in Northwest Alabama in a deeply religious family.  You may see hints of this religious up-bringing in his work.  While his work may not intentionally display religious images, he typically focuses on images that provoke a strong emotional response.  Lee creates a wide variety of artwork in many different sizes.  Lee attended Evangel University in Springfield, Missouri, and graduate school at Mississippi State University in Starkville, Mississippi.  Lee has lived in various cities in Alabama, Tennessee, Mississippi, Missouri and Texas.  Lee has taken all of his personal experiences (good and bad) and infused them into his art.  Along the way, Lee has met many unique and wonderful people that have also played a role in his art.  Lee's primary goal is to create images that constantly draw you in - and not simply hang on the wall for decoration.  Artwork should always provoke some kind of emotional reaction.
